happy halloween

Halloween was a little different this year than last...Isak got to pick his costume (Ben's too) and has been in and out of it for weeks.  Finally the night for trick-or-treating arrived and Isak and Archer (king of the wild things) were more than a little excited, although it took a few houses for them to get the hang of it.

Since Isak has never really had candy other than m&m's and fruit snacks I don't think he realized what he was getting at each door, but he none the less was excited his bucket was filling with "treasures".

Dalmatian Ben got to walk for awhile until the sidewalks became too crowded.  He then happily took his seat in the stroller with a chocolate pretzel which he cherished for several blocks.

By the end of the night (all of a dozen houses) all the boys were wiped out and all piled in the stroller together.  At the last house Isak got a lolly pop, which unbeknownst to me he knew what it was and asked if he could have it.  The look on his face was priceless.  That was probably the most cherished lolly pop in the history of lolly pops.
